EST FEST 2017
Saturday August 12, 2017 EST FEST 2017
“Who doesn't like a festival where pretty much anything goes? After a long, hungover drive from the gig from the previous night and a long wait to get our credentials, I parked the tour bus in the best spot possible to watch this shit show progress. Straight in front of us is the festival grounds, to our left is Tent city and to our right off in the distance is the main stage. The smell of food trucks, alcohol and debauchery is in the air. MGK fans from Friday night are roaming the festival grounds like the walking dead, unsuccessfully trying to walk off hangovers. The festival is at Ohio Dreams action sports camp. If you have not been to Ohio Dreams, let me explain. This place is home to one of the coolest slip and slides ever created. It's called the Slip and Fly and it is in full swing. The rules of the Slip and Fly are as follows, 1. Drink heavily before diving headfirst down the Slip and Fly, 2. Do as many flips as possible after being launched sky high off the Slip and Fly and 3. make sure to stick the landing with an ultimate belly flop or back slap on the water (It's so fun to watch somebody slam their body on water for some reason). After spending an hour watching people break their shit on the Slip and Fly we walked back to the tour bus. In this behind the scenes photo you have the four degenerates, Jack (red hair), Tom (wolf), Maria (bear) and Collin (goat), creeping out on top of the tour bus with plastic animal masks. A tent handing out free Monster and a shitty bottle of vodka assured us we were going to have a long, shitty night. We spent hours on top of that bus just talking with people and watching fans stagger in and out of tent city. We had random people coming up to do a shot with us. Our tour bus is our home away from home when on the road where anything goes. It was an event to remember. In all honesty, EST FEST 2017 was one of the best festivals we have been to in a long time and hope to be invited back next year.
....until then, keep it groovy Cleveland.”
